UKAMB have produced a clear, appropriate, and coherent set of policies and procedures to help ensure we are:
- Compliant with the law and charity regulation.
- Providing appropriate controls including a framework for delegation by the board of trustees to staff or volunteers that sets out how things should be done and what is expected of people.
- Transparent and accountable and that the board of trustees will be conducting the work of the charity appropriately.

UKAMB supports non-profit milk banks by assisting them to fully implement NICE Guideline and to provide safe, screened human donor milk, fully track and trace compliance across the UK and Ireland. UKAMB also recognizes the responsibility and duty of care of milk banks in ensuring donors, donor's infants and recipients are protected from harm by donating or receiving donor human milk.
